The densest skyline on the planet, wedged between a harbour and a mountain that refused to be built on.
Hong Kong is the only city where a 600mm lens makes sense from street level. Compress the towers and the individual buildings disappear into pure repetition — windows as texture, lit at random, a pattern that changes every minute as people come home.
Then turn around. Seventy percent of the territory is country park. You can be in subtropical forest with a black kite overhead forty minutes after leaving Central, which is the actual story of this city and almost nobody photographs it.
